Stone Cottages Bear Mountain

Located 45 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Highlands, Bear Mountain Inn and Conference Center is nestled in Bear Mountain State Park, in Bear Mountain, New York. Guest Services operates the historic Bear Mountain Inn (currently under construction) built 1915, the A.K. Morgan Overlook Lodge, four Stone Cottages, picnic pavilion, Stand 10, Cliff House and the Merry Go Round and Pavilion.
Bear Mountain Inn attractions include: picnic groves, rowboat docks, a swimming pool and bathhouse, nature trails, an ice-skating rink, Trailside Museums and Zoo, Perkins Tower, Iona Island Estuarine Reserve and Bird Refuge. Bear Mountain Inn provides a venue for corporate retreats, family reunions, team building events and romantic getaways away from big city lights. The natural setting and spectacular views make it the ideal New York wedding venue.

History

Established in 1915.

Situated at the base of Bear Mountain and overlooking the shores of Hessian Lake, our historic hotel is the centerpiece of a unique park system that stretches from the edge of New York City through the Hudson Valley.

As one of the earliest rustic-style lodges built to take advantage of a natural setting, Bear Mountain Inn and Overlook Lodge is a fabulous contemporary of the National Park Lodges. The Inn's interior is outfitted to perfection with handcrafted furnishings and fixtures.
