Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain

Ski Big Bear is the perfect place to learn to ski or snowboard. Our gentle learner slopes, affordable rentals and quality instruction will have you making turns in no time.

Private ski and snowboard lessons are available every hour throughout the day everyday and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. It is advisable to make reservations during holiday periods.

Level 1 1st time beginner group lessons and 2nd time beginner group lessons are available on weekends and holidays at 10:00am, 12pm and 2:30pm. Reservations are not taken for group lessons but it is recommended that you arrive and pay for lesson at least 1 hour in advance.

Everyone taking a lesson must have a lift ticket valid for the time during which their lesson occurs.

2 hour private lessons are available for $135 (4 yrs and older)

*Students participating in a semi-private lesson must all be at least 7 years of age

Learn to Ski or Board packages include a lift ticket for the Magic Carpet lift, rental equipment and a lesson. Please note that there are beginner trails that cover the whole mountain. The Learn to Ski or Board Packages allow the participant to ride the Magic Carpet lift only and cannot be upgraded to a regular lift ticket.

The Big Bear Cub Program is available to children 4-12 years of age on Saturdays, Sundays and during holiday periods. This program provides 2 consecutive hours of private lessons.
