We live in Venice, and went looking for snow, and really lucked out with our timing to arrive right after a snowfall. Lake Arrowhead was a winter wonderland, and the hotel was charming. We loved the spacious lodge-like lobby, big fireplace, lovely grounds, AMAZING LOCATION at the water, and friendly, helpful staff. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view, and would have been a 5 except for a VERY worn sofa that should have been replaced a few years ago and moldy patches on the shower ceiling. Also, the sliding door to the bathroom does not offer much in the way of privacy, and we could hear every word that our neighbors said through the shared door. The restaurant and cafe were very convenient, especially since most of the village was closed due to weather (???) (gone skiing, perhaps), and we enjoyed what we ordered from the very limited room service menu.
