Allow 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot to Trailside. Allow 1 to 2 hours to enjoy Trailside–the animals, the views, museums & landscape.

DIRECTIONS
Trailside Museums & Zoo is located at Bear Mountain State Park, on the western bank of the Hudson River.

Main Entrance to Bear Mountain State Park is on Seven Lakes Drive, off of Route 9W and a short distance south of the Bear Mountain Bridge Circle. The entrance is next to Bear Mountain Inn, 98 Hessian Lake Drive, Bear Mountain, NY 10911. Parking for Trailside is available at the parking lots of Bear Mountain State Park. Parking fee: $8/vehicle (buses need special parking permit contact 845-786-2701 x 242).
From NYC and New Jersey: Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway North (about 41 miles) to the end at the Bear Mountain Bridge Circle. Follow signs to Bear Mountain State Park.
From Westchester: Take the Taconic, Bear Mountain Parkway or Route 6 North to the Bear Mountain Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow signs for Route 9W South and Bear Mountain State Park.
From Newburgh and points North: Take Route 9W South to Bear Mountain Bridge Circle. Follow signs for Bear Mountain State Park.
